Jorpukhuri Twin Ponds Park

Jorpukhuri is a historic twin pond nestled in Uzanbazar, Guwahati, originally built to fulfill water requirements of the nearby Ugratara Temple. The ponds were once connected to the Brahmaputra River, allowing Ahom royalties to visit by boat.

Recently revitalized by GMDA under the AMRUT initiative, Jorpukhuri is now a beautiful visitor site with wildlife including ducks, turtles, and various bird species.
